Caries Management Simplified

Caries management in the private practice does not have to be difficult or complicated. In fact, it can be manageable, fun and rewarding! This course will introduce a simplified approach to caries management for dental professionals. Risk factors that contribute to caries will be identified. Risk management protocols (including the use of silver diamine fluoride and recommendations for long term success of dental restorations), documentation and clinical results will be discussed. By the end of this lecture, attendees will obtain tools that can be implemented immediately.

Pamela Maragliano-Muniz, DMD

Pamela Maragliano-Muniz, DMD is the Editor-In-Chief of Inside Dental Hygiene for AEGIS Communications.  She was a dental hygienist before earning her doctor of medicine in dentistry (DMD) degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She also holds a certificate in advanced prosthodontics from the UCLA School of Dentistry. She maintains a private practice in Salem, Massachusetts. In 2010, her practice was named the Adult Preventive Care Practice of the Year by the American Dental Association.
